I was amused to see an article in a recent New York Times listing “The 100 Best TV Shows Of The 21st Century.”
It’s probably not something to disclose publicly these days, but I haven’t seen a single episode of a single one.
I’ve been working my way through the books in Mick Herron’s Slow Horses series. It’s a very good book series and I understand the TV series has done a very good job portraying some of the “interesting” characters.
I saw the (real?) original Battlestar Galactica series, but that was from 1978-1979, so last century. No idea about the new one but since it doesn’t have Anne Lockhart (ok ok, or Lorne Green or Richard Hatch) it can’t possibly be any good. 😉
Kathy & I haven’t owned a television in nearly 15 years. We’ve just gotten out of the habit and occasionally threaten to buy one just to watch movies. But so far it hasn’t risen to the top of the priority list. No worries, it apparently just isn’t our thing.

I couldn’t tell you what was on TV or what movies are being made either. Neither one draws my interest anymore. I read, journal, blog, bicycle, nap, have a coffee life, and press the shutter button at least once a day.

I sometimes worry that we are missing out on an important part of our culture, then I realize that’s where all the noise is. Life feels a lot better with the sound off.
