
Used barrels are a common sight in places like Bardstown, KY. Actual bourbon barrels are typically too valuable in the secondary market (sold to other distilleries, wineries and breweries) to be used as decor, but some of them make their way into the public domain and end up as planters, table bases and rain barrels. This one appears to be on its last legs, although it still served its purpose as a road block to prevent cars from driving down the alley. It would likely only survive one last attempt, however!
