Did you happen to catch who painted those ships hanging so prominently in the room? When I see rooms like this with artwork as decoration I always think it was some struggling artist who will never be remembered because all his work is hanging in some obscure office.
Unfortunately I didn’t catch the artist. They all appear to be by the same artist, and I can ‘almost’ make out the plaque on the wall in another photo. I also checked the website and it mentions lots of other exhibits but not that one.
I sent an email inquiry to the museum and will let you know if I hear back!
