I guess I kind of knew it at the time, but I didn’t carry my camera at all while we explored the town of Estes Park. Mostly we were there in the evening, and when going to dinner I didn’t want to lug around a camera. But I had my phone!

Aahh! The saltwater Texas Pecan Taffy is to die for! 🙂 A friend and I are planning a day trip up to Rocky Mountain Park this weekend, passing through Estes Park and up over Trail Ridge. May have to pick up a half pound of the taffy.
Dang, Monte! I’ve never even heard of Texas Pecan Taffy. I guess I’ll need to start paying better attention.
I think making sure you have a half tank of gas and a half pound of taffy was on a sign at the visitor center. Might want to get a full pound, just to be safe.

Good idea on the sign. The Texas Pecan is to die for or at least fight over. Give Cathy a half pound bag of that and she’d hold a 600m f4.0 all day. 🙂

Somehow I’ve never made a connection of Salt Water Taffy and the Rocky Mountains. I can’t remember ever hearing John Denver sing about it? 🙂

Me neither, Brooks. Lots of other John Denver connections but not salt water taffy. That reference must come from somewhere else!
