My hosting company finally was able to undo the destruction that I caused a few weeks ago, and it appears that my posting abilities have been restored. Just in time, too. Kathy and I embark on our next adventure starting Tuesday. Stay tuned.
I spotted this abandoned house on the way to the Jackson Ferry Shot Tower near Austinville, VA. That in itself is an interesting place, although not terribly photo-worthy in itself.
Kathy says, and I agree, that the most interesting part of the scene is the window on the left with the curtain hanging out. I didn’t have a long enough lens to isolate that without trespassing, so it will have to remain one of those little details.

Yep, no trespassing is a wise choice and not necessary. Glad you’re back in bidness!

Thank you, Monte. We haven’t slowed down our adventuring but haven’t been able to document it!
I try to very respectful of fence lines everywhere, but especially in places that might suggest “banjo music.” 😉
